Clarence Edward Frank Jr.

Clarence Edward Frank Jr., Born June 27th 1934 to Clarence Edward and Marie C. Frank in Chicago Illinois. Raised in Chicago and later in Chesterton Indiana, Clarence joined the Navy following high school and after an early medical release he left for California in his late teens. It was there he met and married Claudia Jane Monroe. Together they raised five children. They returned to Indiana for a time living in Michigan City, Porter and Laporte. In 1968 they moved back to California where Clarence worked in the plastics industry. Clarence earned his pilots license and later he built 3 experimental airplanes. He was a Boy Scout leader, a model railroader, built amazing miniature dollhouses and after moving to New Mexico he took up building model boats from their full-scale plans. He lived and worked in Hollywood, Glendale, Upland, Patterson, Lompoc, San Rafael and Watsonville before retiring with Claudia to Las Cruses New Mexico. Claudia passed in June of 2008 after 53 years of marriage. A week after Claudia’s passing he was diagnosed with cancer and was rushed to emergency surgery. A year later Clarence moved to Hughson California in 2009 to be with his and Claudia’s long time friend Betty Abraham. Clarence passed away on April 12, 2010 and is survived by his two brothers Floyd Jay Frank of Chesterton and Christopher Lynd Frank of Rough and Ready California, his children Lenora Marie Shaw of Thousand Oaks California, Georgette Bragg of Connecticut, Clarence Edward Frank III of Los Osos California, Gary Charles Frank of Detroit Michigan, Claudia Jane Sukoo of Burbank California, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
